WHAT IS

KEY CLUB

?

Logo_KC_BW.png

Key Club International, founded in 1925, is an international service program for high school students. Often referred to as simply Key Club, it is a student-led organization whose goal is to encourage leadership through serving others. We provide our members with opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership. Key Club members around the world are learning how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. In partnership with their local Kiwanis club, high school students are making a positive impact as they serve others in their schools and communities.

CNH District

The California-Nevada-Hawaii (CNH) District is home to the CNH Bees, and to the first ever internationally formed Key Club! The first five clubs officially chartered by Key Club International were at Sacramento, Monterey, Oakland Technical, Hemet, and Stockton (now Edison) High Schools. Key Club grew beyond the place of its birth, and a few clubs already existed in Nevada. Visit the CNH Cyberkey HERE

Region 12

There are 18 regions and 76 divisions in the CNH District. Each region is aligned to the Kiwanis Regions, made up of 2 to 7 Key Club divisions, and have one or more Region Advisors. Regions provide a support system for struggling divisions. Each division has one Lt. Governor that serves the clubs within that division. Divisions are made up of 2 to 16 Key Clubs and are aligned based on Kiwanis Divisions. Some divisions may contain a directional term in their name like: North, Hikina, Central, West, etc. Every year, each region holds a Region Training Conference that is generally held during the fall season.

WE LEARN THROUGH ACTION

High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.
